The Story Behind Shizen
Shizen means more than just “nature” or “natural.”
As someone who loves traveling, meeting new people, and spending time in nature, I created Shizen to reflect what I value most — connection, growth, and being yourself.
Nature has always reminded me how important it is to stay true to yourself, grow at your own pace, and appreciate progress along the way. I love how nature can give people energy, confidence, and a sense of calm — and I wanted my lessons to feel the same.
That’s why I created Shizen: a relaxed and supportive space where you can learn Japanese naturally, build confidence step by step, and enjoy the process without pressure.

Key Policies (Quick Summary)
- Online lessons only: All lessons are held online using Google Meet or Zoom.
- Payments: Lesson fees are in US Dollars (USD). Payment is required at the time of booking.
- Cancellations & no-shows: Cancel more than 12 hours before your lesson to reschedule. Cancellations within 12 hours are charged in full.
- Late arrival: Lessons end at the scheduled time. If very late without notice, it may be treated as a no-show.
- Respectful behavior: A kind, respectful attitude is required at all times.
- Kids lessons: A parent or guardian is responsible for the child’s use of the service.
